Instruments and code

Most of what I make is not a paper. Devices, tasks and analysis pipelines are research output too, and they are easier to check than a methods section.

Force-matching device

Hardware · for the thesis protocol · calibrating

A two-channel force transducer rig for the force-matching task, designed and machined in-house with my brother Anıl Bekdemir, a mechanical engineer, who worked on it unpaid. The acquisition software is mine. Built because commercial equivalents cost more than the grant and could not be modified.

Mechanically complete; calibration is still in progress. The calibration data and build notes will be published with it.

Beads task

PsychoPy · to publish

Probabilistic reasoning task with trial-level logging, written for modelling rather than for summary scores.

HGF analysis pipeline

Python / TAPAS · to publish

Model fitting, parameter and model recovery, and Bayesian model selection, with the recovery simulations that ran before any participant was seen.

GÖRÜNGÜ

Python · OpenCV · MIT · public

Optical mark recognition and automatic scoring for paper psychiatric assessment forms, so that scale batteries stop being typed in by hand. Interactive template design, per-form threshold tuning, automatic alignment of photographed sheets, and CSV export. Repository.

each repository will carry a CITATION.cff, an ORCID, and a Zenodo DOI
