Furkan Bekdemir

Psychiatry resident at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Samsun. I design measurement instruments together with engineering collaborators. I write the software and the models that run on them. I use both to study how the brain decides what to believe.

Belief updating and sensory attenuation in schizophrenia

Whether delusions track a failure of belief revision, a failure to attenuate self-generated sensation, or both. Beads task modelled with the Hierarchical Gaussian Filter, alongside a force-matching task run on a device built for the study. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Gökhan Sarısoy; registration pending.
